Thoracic and abdominal drainage tube
A thoracoabdominal drain is a tube used to drain fluid from the chest or abdominal cavity. It is made of flexible, stretchable material, such as silicone or PVC, with a soft texture for easy insertion and operation.
One end of the thoracoabdominal drainage tube is inserted into the patient's chest or abdominal cavity through surgery or puncture to drain blood, lymph, pus or other body fluids accumulated in the chest or abdominal cavity. The other end of the tube is connected to a drainage bag or negative pressure suction device to collect and remove drainage.
During recovery from surgery or trauma, thoracoabdominal drains can assist in draining fluid through the drainage system, reducing internal pressure and promoting wound healing and recovery. The doctor will determine the insertion location, tube size and drainage duration of the drainage tube based on the patient's condition and specific needs.
