The ventricular valve catheter sheath, also known as the TAVI/TAVR catheter sheath, is a catheter used for percutaneous aortic valve replacement surgery (TAVI/TAVR surgery). TAVI/TAVR is a method of aortic valve replacement through vascular access that does not require thoracotomy. It is suitable for some patients who are elderly, have other serious heart disease complications, or cannot tolerate traditional open aortic valve replacement surgery.

The function of the ventricular valve catheter sheath is to guide and support the implantation of the artificial valve. It is usually made of a soft material with a curved tip that travels through arteries and veins into the heart to connect with the aortic valve. The tip of the catheter sheath is equipped with an expandable artificial valve, which after implantation can replace the original dysfunctional aortic valve and restore the normal function of the heart.
